Following on from our announcement on Friday regarding the resumption of organised outdoor activities and sports for children and young people aged 18 (or persons who were aged under 18 on 31 August 2020), further guidance on what this means has been released.
Welsh Government have placed no limit on the number of children and young people aged 18 and under that can participate in organised outdoor activities and sports. All adults (including parents, volunteers and qualified professionals) may attend these activities where they are involved in the safe delivery and supervision of the activities. Our clubs should be reminded of the requirements around social distancing and should limit the number of places in these organised activities to that which can be safely accommodated in the space available.
Welsh Government have produced a series of FAQs to provide additional information and are preparing an Asset Bank of communication materials. The Asset Bank will be updated over the coming days and will continue to be refreshed as further changes to restrictions are announced.
While activities can restart outdoors, clubs should remember that virtual meetings are safest and should continue to be used where possible.
We continue to support all of our member clubs and their members through this transitional period, and we look forward to updating you further on progress.
