Swim Wales is excited to announce a new partnership with All or Nothing Events. Swim Wales will be joining for the Big R Swim 2025 – a non-competitive open water swimming challenge set to take place in September 2025.
Now in its 6th year, the Big R Swim has evolved from its original Rhoose-to-Barry route, offering distances from 3km to 18km. This year’s event will see swimmers take on an 11.5km swim from Penarth Pier to Whitmore Bay, Barry Island – a great stretch of the Welsh coastline.
Together Swim Wales and All or Nothing Events are collaborating to establish a responsible platform for open water swimming in the sea. All or Nothing events are excited to start the open water season in May and encourage Swim Wales members to get involved.
Swimmers of all abilities are welcome to take part, with no pressure to race – just a chance to enjoy the open water in a structured and supported setting.
