Qualifying Window Outlined for Aquatics GB Next Gen Championships

Aquatics GB have today realised their Summer Meets Qualifying Window Article which can be found here.

A summary of some of the key information in the article that will also affect the Swim Wales summer meet is below:

  • The qualifying window for the AGB NextGen Championships and Home Nation Summer Meets will open on Friday 7th March and run through to Sunday 11th May 2025.
  • Home Nation Meet Choice – if swimmer wishes to be entered into a Home Nation Summer meet based in international representation, then they MUST complete the form via the link on the events page by 5pm Tuesday 6th May 2025, this is for entries in both phase 1 and 2.  For more information on this please refer to the full Aquatics GB article.
  • Opting out – If a swimmer wishes to opt out of Aquatics GB Next Gen Championships or the Swim Wales Summer Meet, they need to complete the Opt out form via the link on the events page by 5pm Tuesday 6th May 2025. For more information on this please refer to the full Aquatics GB article.
  • Interim Rankings Lists – This year, weekly rankings lists will be published on a twice weekly basis (Tuesday and Friday) once the qualifying window opens. A final draft rankings list will be produced on 13th May 2025, once the window has closed. If it is believed that any of the data contained in the interim lists is incorrect or there are missing results, please report it by emailing [email protected] and or [email protected] . These will only be rectified up until the point of which invitations are sent and not thereafter.

The Meet Pack, Consideration Standards and Event Schedule for our Swim Wales Summer Meet 2025 has now been published and can be found on the specific event page by clicking here. The event is staying as a closed Welsh event this year. We encourage you read through all the information.

Some key changes are:

  • Age groups are now; 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18+
  • The Home Nations Meet Choice must be completed for both Phase 1 and 2 entries.
  • If you are invited in phase 1 you must enter in phase 1, you will not be able to enter any events you were invited to once the closing date as passed.
