Swim Wales are proud to launch our first ever virtual conferences:

Intent of postponement – Club Volunteer Conference

Our upcoming Club Volunteer Conference has been postponed and will now take place September 25th 2021. This decision has been made in light of feedback and the high demand environment our clubs currently find themselves in. We hope to see many of you join us later in the year for this exciting and insightful session.

Swim Wales National Club Volunteer Conference, Saturday September 25th 2021

Swim Wales National Technical Officials Conference, Saturday June 26th 2021

As an extension of National Volunteer week, June 1st-7th, we will be launching a series of FREE conferences, offering a continuation of support to our aquatic community. This is an opportunity to engage with our members in a new and vibrant way, outside of our usual club engagement sessions, which have taken place since lockdown was introduced in April 2020. This additional provision aims to further support our members and clubs as we return to water and operational delivery. Both conferences will engage our wider volunteer members, are free to attend and ticket numbers are not limited by club.

Swim Wales National Volunteer Club Conference, September 25th

The conference sessions have been designed following feedback from your committees; we asked what you wanted to hear about, you told us and we went looking for relevant content. We’re delighted to be able to offer three insightful and engaging sessions for your club volunteers to attend, with fantastic key speakers presenting.

Agenda:

1pm                     Conference Introduction

1.10pm                Swim Wales Welcome (Fergus Feeney)

1.30pm                1st session: Recognising and rewarding volunteers (Tempo Time Credits, Ami Christopher)

2.20pm                BREAK 10 minutes

2.30pm                2nd session: Engaging Younger Members (Swim Wales Youth Panel and Lydia Gyngell, National Event and Volunteer Manager, Swim Wales)

3.20pm                BREAK 10 minutes

3.30pm                3rd session: Training and Development Opportunities (Barrie Swift, Training and Development Manager, Swim Wales)

Swim Wales National Technical Officials Conference, June 26th
